An amount of ¥20,000 is required to be paid to the supplier on collection of the vehicle. The bond is refunded to you on return of the vehicle in the same condition as it was collected. Typically, this will take a minimum of 7-10 business days for your financial institution to release the pre-authorised bond amount back to your account.

We want you to be safe and covered on the road. When you pick up your vehicle you must take out one of the following insurance options. You can decide which one is right for you on the day of pickup. 1. Standard Cover Daily Rate - ¥1,300 Deductible Limit/liability - ¥100,000 NOC (Non-Operational Charge) - ¥2,000 2. Enhanced Cover Daily Rate - ¥2,000 Deductible Limit/liability - ¥50,000 NOC (Non-Operational Charge) - ¥1,000 3. Premium cover Daily Rate - ¥3,000 Deductible Limit/liability - ¥0 NOC (Non-Operational Charge) - ¥0

Japan has strict Driver Licence Requirements You MUST have one of the following to be able to rent a vehicle in Japan: 1. Japanese Driver Licence 2. SOFA Licence (only applies to United States Army Personnel stationed in Japan) 3. Foreign Licence + Passport from one of the following countries (Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Monaco, Estonia, Taiwan) 4. International Drivers Permit
